You'll find a few watersports sprinkled around and some good snorkelling in the rocky next-door cove as well. When you fancy a break, there's a small selection of touristy shops and restaurants near the beach, the latter providing pleasant venues for whiling away the balmy evenings. For livelier times, head for neighbouring Praia de Rocha's animated bars, shops and discos, visit the colourful market at nearby Portimao or play some of the many magnificent local golf courses.
